Project Management - Decision Making in Dynamic Environments

This course focuses on the decision making challenges involved when delivering complex projects. Based around project management simulation software supplied by Prendo and developed in conjunction with the Major Projects Association it combines the learning of project management principles with an opportunity to manage a complex project in the safety of a simulated environment. The course enables delegates, organised in competing teams, to manage a project from start to finish and to experience how their decisions combine to determine the final outcomes.

The emphasis is upon improving delegate understanding of the inter-relationships between time, cost and performance and the impact of individual decisions. The course explores project success and stakeholder motivation before covering the core project management disciplines involved in establishing the project baseline, risk management, change control, performance measurement and forecasting.

This is a fast paced course delivered in a lively atmosphere where time limits are introduced to simulate 'real world' time pressure. The use of the simulation combined with tutor led presentation and discussion provides for a powerful and enjoyable learning environment that dramatically improves the effectiveness of project management education and training.
